NYC Sevens Offers 8 Young Rugby Players a Chance to Experience the Life of a Pro
NYC Sevens launches ‘Pro for a day’ competition aimed at the next generation of rugby talent

NYC Sevens, is looking for eight deserving young rugby players to become a “Pro for a Day” on the build-up to the event, taking place on July 15th.

In conjunction with Goff Rugby Report, the NYC Sevens social channels will feature boys and girls HS players from the nearby states - New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut - who love their rugby and have a special story to tell. Fans will be able to vote on which of these players get to be an honorary team member for a day and to shadow one of the eight international teams during the event at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

The winner will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with the professional stars, seeing first-hand the physical and mental preparation required to compete at the highest level.

The NYC 7s brings a $1 million purse to international 7s at Red Bull Arena. International teams from eight countries — USA, Ireland, New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa, Kenya, Australia, and France — will compete in a one-day tournament.

Goff Rugby Report is working with SROs to fine players, but if you have a candidate, feel free to reach out via the Goff Rugby Report social channels.

The first round starts next week so make sure to follow the NYC Sevens Instagram and Twitter accounts to hear the player's stories and to cast your vote.
