World RFL to host NY, NJ, and PA Police and Fire Departments to Compete in Heroes Rugby Championship at NYC Champion Sevens on July 15, 2023

NEW YORK CITY - May 9, 2023 - The World Rugby Football League today announced it will hold a first-of-its-kind Heroes Championship featuring local police and fire departments at its NYC Champion Sevens rugby tournament at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ on July 15.

The Heroes Championship will showcase players from the New York Police Department, New York Fire Department, Philadelphia Fire Department, and New Jersey State Troopers competing in exhibition games alongside World Rugby’s top-ranked rugby sevens teams. Tickets for the NYC Champion Sevens festival, starting at $55.00, are on sale now at www.nycsevens.com and on Ticketmaster. The tournament will also be streamed live on ESPN+.
